
Congratulations to LCP wrestlers who competed in their inaugural District Tournament over the weekend! Under first year coach Joseph Rios, the Pirates placed 3rd in the Girls division and 7th in the Boys division! The wrestlers listed will advance to the Regional Tournament next weekend at El Paso Bel Air High School. Way to go, Pirates!


It's National School Counseling Week, so we are celebrating the incredible individuals who help our Pirates reach their full potential and enable them to succeed in school and for a lifetime! Be sure to thank your campus counselor this week!


Lubbock-Cooper ISD will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Friday, February 4. Buses will also run on a two-hour delay.
We encourage drivers to utilize the delay to allow themselves plenty of travel time to campuses, and we urge drivers to be very cautious.

Congratulations to the LCHS Pirate Football team, named the 5A SCHOOL STATE CHAMPION in the 2021-22 National Football Foundation High School Academic Excellence Award finals after a review of 84 finalists! The team will now be considered for the National Champion honor, to be announced next week. West Elementary kindergarteners are learning how small acts of kindness make a BIG difference! This week, they've been decorating bookmarks to share with residents of local assisted living centers!

The annual LCISD Science Fair was held last week, and out of 568 student projects, 36 were selected to move on to the South Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair! Well done, participants, and congratulations to the scientists who are advancing!





Pre-k classroom centers may seem all fun and games, but they teach our little Pirates lots of big skills through hands-on play!





January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we couldn't be more thankful for this crew of district leaders! The LCISD Board of Trustees guides our district with intentionality, thoughtfulness, and wisdom, and makes sure our school community is heard and supported!


Lubbock-Cooper Fine Arts organizations invite you to the first ever Treasure Hunt Through the Arts THIS SATURDAY (January 22) from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the LCHS Performing Arts Center, Fine Arts Wing, and Commons Area! Each elementary campus, both middle schools, and LCHS will be showcasing more than 300 pieces of visual art, dance, theatre, vocal performance, and instrumental groups! Join us!
