Beginning in the 2027-28 school year with the Class of 2031 (8th grade), the district will gradually transition by grade level to a feeder system, implementing new middle school and high school attendance zones that align with the feeder pattern. All students older than the Class of 2031 will be grandfathered, and will utilize the original attendance zone map. Click here for more information about this transition.

Middle School Attendance Zones
The map below is a map of original Lubbock-Cooper ISD middle school attendance zones, which will remain in effect for the 2026-27 school year.
Beginning in the 2027-28 school year, the district will gradually transition by grade level to a feeder system, implementing new middle school and high school attendance zones that align with the feeder pattern. At that time (2027-28), incoming 6th graders must attend the middle school for which their residence is zoned under the new feeder system. Also for the 2027-28 school year, incoming 7th and 8th graders will have the choice to finish out their middle school careers at their original middle schools, or switch to their new middle schools under the feeder system.
As part of the feeder pattern, Laura Bush Middle School will feed into Lubbock-Cooper High School, and Lubbock-Cooper Middle School will feed into Liberty High School. Click here for more information about this transition.
