West Elementary kindergarteners are learning how small acts of kindness make a BIG difference! This week, they've been decorating bookmarks to share with residents of local assisted living centers!

The annual LCISD Science Fair was held last week, and out of 568 student projects, 36 were selected to move on to the South Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair! Well done, participants, and congratulations to the scientists who are advancing!

Lubbock-Cooper Fine Arts organizations invite you to the first ever Treasure Hunt Through the Arts THIS SATURDAY (January 22) from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the LCHS Performing Arts Center, Fine Arts Wing, and Commons Area! Each elementary campus, both middle schools, and LCHS will be showcasing more than 300 pieces of visual art, dance, theatre, vocal performance, and instrumental groups! Join us!

The doctors are in! South Elementary fourth graders donned their surgical gear to dissect and practice multi-step problem solving procedures as a review before their All Operations Assessment!
We're so proud of LCISD Director of Special Education Tracy Fogerson and Athletic Director Max Kattwinkel, who have been honored by Special Olympics Texas with The Red Ball Award! This award is reserved for those who play a significant role in promoting Unified Champion Schools, which these two Pirates have done in a BIG WAY through the creation of the Lubbock-Cooper Unified Track team! Through their leadership, our inaugural Unified Track team took second place at the STATE meet, and has served as a life changing opportunity for so many students!
