Currently, the district plans to operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, January 28. If road conditions call for further schedule adjustments, that information will be announced as early as possible. A final determination for Wednesday's schedule will be communicated tomorrow.
Please stay safe and warm, Pirates and Patriots!

Due to inclement weather and hazardous travel conditions, Lubbock-Cooper ISD has canceled school for Monday, January 26. All LCISD campuses and offices will be closed.
Please stay safe and warm, LCP family!

As conditions evolve over the weekend, district administrators will make a determination for Monday's school schedule. Administrators hope to communicate a decision no later than 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25.

During the application process, seniors will also have the opportunity to be considered for several additional tribute scholarships.
This is a great opportunity for hard-working students to get a head start on funding for college or trade/technical school!
Students can complete the online application at https://url.lcisd.net/lcef2026. The application deadline is Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

As we prepare for incoming winter weather, please know that district administrators are closely monitoring the forecast and remain in communication with local officials.
As always, any changes to the school day schedule (delays, cancellations, etc.) will be communicated through text, phone call, email, the district website, district social media channels, and local news outlets!

Join us in celebrating our Fall 2025 Lubbock-Cooper ISD Gold Award recipient: North Elementary's Shelbie Miller! 🏆
Sponsored by Grand Canyon University, the Gold Award honors employees who lead with integrity, purpose, and compassion. While Shelbie doesn't seek the spotlight, her impact is impossible to miss. From planning elaborate student events to serving as the campus social media coordinator, she truly defines "above and beyond."
As one colleague put it: “She is superwoman and makes me love my job 10x more!”
Shelbie, thank you for being a reliable, enthusiastic, and supportive pillar of the LCP family. We are so grateful for everything you do for our students and staff! 🌟❤️
