Join us in celebrating our Fall 2025 Lubbock-Cooper ISD Gold Award recipient: North Elementary's Shelbie Miller! 🏆

Sponsored by Grand Canyon University, the Gold Award honors employees who lead with integrity, purpose, and compassion. While Shelbie doesn't seek the spotlight, her impact is impossible to miss. From planning elaborate student events to serving as the campus social media coordinator, she truly defines "above and beyond."

As one colleague put it: “She is superwoman and makes me love my job 10x more!”

Shelbie, thank you for being a reliable, enthusiastic, and supportive pillar of the LCP family. We are so grateful for everything you do for our students and staff! 🌟❤️

Each fall, over 70,000 high school musicians across Texas enter the audition process to earn a spot in the Texas Music Educator Association All-State ensembles. These students advance through multiple rounds of auditions, and we are proud to announce that Lubbock-Cooper will have six musicians represent the district at the prestigious Texas Music Educator Association Clinic and Convention this February in San Antonio! Being a Texas All-State musician is regarded as the highest level of individual achievement that a student musician can earn. Congratulations to these outstanding Pirates and Patriots! #LCPfamily

One of the many objectives of the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation is to invest in the future of LCISD students - in large part through awarding scholarships to deserving seniors seeking to further their education.

LCISD seniors are encouraged to apply for the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation Scholarship. The Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation Scholarship is open to seniors at all LCISD high schools (Lubbock-Cooper High School, Liberty High School, and New Hope Academy).

During the application process, seniors will also have the opportunity to be considered for several additional tribute scholarships.

This is a great opportunity for hard-working students to get a head start on funding for college or trade/technical school!

Students can complete the online application at https://url.lcisd.net/lcef2026. The application deadline is Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
