Update: New Home ISD has closed the parking lot initially intended for Liberty fans. Please see the updated parking map from New Home ISD for the updated parking location for Liberty fans (west of the New Home stadium and parking lot).

Monday, September 2 is a staff and student holiday. All LCISD campuses and offices will be closed. Enjoy the three-day weekend, Pirates and Patriots! #LCPfamily

Pirate Football fans, if you won't be cheering in person at tonight's game against Lucas Lovejoy, remember the game will be live on Bally Sports Southwest Extra and the Bally Sports website and app! You can also listen in on 100.7 The Score!

New Home ISD has advised that all Liberty Football fans traveling to New Home for tonight's game should avoid traveling south on Slide Road to reach New Home. Instead, the district advises Liberty fans to travel south on Highway 87, then west on 211. This will lead Liberty fans directly to the visitor parking lot shown on the attached map, provided by New Home ISD.

The Patriot Varsity Football team will face New Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30 at New Home. Tickets will be sold at Liberty HS through Friday (cash only; $5 adults/$2 students). Please purchase tickets early, as seating will be very limited. Let's go, Patriots!

The Pirate Varsity Football team will face Lucas Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30 at Leopard Stadium. Tickets are available at https://lhs.lovejoyisd.net/o/a/page/ticketing. Congratulations to our most recent Students of the Month, New Hope Academy's Jadence McGruder and Coby Gonzalez, honored at last night's meeting of the LCISD Board of Trustees! #LCPfamily

You may notice a few (hundred!) beaded friendship bracelets floating around the district this year. During the last two weeks of the spring semester, LCISD students assembled more than 1,300 bracelets to be distributed to staff at the start of the school year. Each bracelet includes an inspirational word or statement directly from the hearts of our kids - a fantastic reminder of why we do what we do! #LCPfamily

LCISD staff officially kicked off the new year with our annual Back to School Convocation yesterday! This Convocation was extra special, featuring presenter Sixtus Atabong, PC-A, founder and CEO of Purpose Medical Mission and author of the award-winning "My Father's Gift." Sixtus shared his experiences growing up in Cameroon and the challenges he faced on his educational and life path, along with the support and encouragement he received from educators along the way. At the conclusion of his presentation, Sixtus was presented with Superintendent Bryant's Pulling for Kids Award, the district's highest honor!
In addition to the inspiring message from Sixtus, Convocation included a generous donation by the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation of $1,000 for each LCISD campus, greetings from LCHS and Liberty HS cheerleaders, pom squads, mascots, and drum lines, and the Pledge of Allegiance, Texas Pledge, and national anthem performed by LCISD students!
Thanks to Parkhill and the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation for their generous sponsorship of this event, and to LCU for hosting our staff!
We're ready for another fantastic year, and we can't wait to welcome our Pirates and Patriots back home tomorrow morning! #LCPfamily
