Welcome to DECA!
DECA is an organization for students who are interested in the field of marketing or business.  DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the world.  DECA is co-curricular and designed to be an integral part of the classroom instructional program.  DECA's goal is for its members to develop a "career success kit " to carry into their professional and personal lives after graduation.

Key Points:

  • Cell Phones: In order to create a more positive learning environment, cell phone use will be prohibited in class. If a student is caught text messaging during class, the teacher reserves the right to take the cell phone away.  On occasion, the teacher may assign a task where cell phone use is permitted.

  • Communication:  I firmly believe in the power of parent communication. If your student is struggling or failing to turn in assignments, I will contact you. Students will be assigned to tutorials if they fail to turn in assignments on time. Please feel free to call me during my conference period or email me if you have any questions or concerns.
