The Lubbock-Cooper High School Choirs consist of a Varsity Mixed Choir (SATB, grades 9-12), a Treble Choir (female voices in grades 9-12), a Tenor-Bass Choir (male voices in grades 9-12), and Corsairs ("show choir"). Additionally, Choral Methods is offered for those in Mixed Choir. The Mixed and Treble Choirs perform at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in spring. Corsair auditions are held every spring for the following year.
The choir is growing at Lubbock-Cooper, thanks to a wonderfully supportive LCHS administrative team and Board of Trustees who understand the importance of the performing arts in school. Our two middle school choir programs, under the direction of Nathaniel Herman at LCMS and Samantha Pearce at LBMS, are laying a great foundation of choral skills for our LCHS program, which is very exciting.
